Yes, I was on holiday (vacation) for the past two weeks but if there's a plane in the air I have this uncontrollable tendency to point my camera at it despite not have the "big glass" to bring them in close. Photographing jets is always fun and challenging but doing so from a ship (with it's associated pitching and motion) makes it even more, well... fun is not the word I would use.
But with that said I was able to catch a couple of aircraft while in the Mediterranean. The Jet2 "Yorkshire" was on final to Barcelona as we were leaving the port while the Carabinieri helo was circling the ship while we were in Palermo, Sicily, Italy.
As an aside, I am now moving my featured images from this site to a monthly rotating basis for the time being in order to allow me to get caught-up with the mound of images I collected while away.
Enjoy!
