2009 brings?????

For me, 2008 was a fantastic year photographing aircraft. I made some great friends and discovered some well-kept secrets allowing me to get some fantastic images. I fear 2009 will be the same!

At the same time the world is changing and the attitude from certain sectors of the public towards photographers (in general) is still frosty and with continuing changes in the area of world security, aircraft spotters specifically are seeing an increase in unwarranted harassment. But, as usual, these are opportunities to educate the public and to create relationships that will put our profession in a positive light.

2009 will see me in the Welsh hills again chasing the one prize I wish more than any other: the elusive Strike Eagle through LFA7 with tail number 334 being the ultimate prize. While my wife was deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan this past summer she had a US flag flown for her on a combat mission in that aircraft and to capture it "in the weeds" to accompany it in a display would be, well... beyond words almost. So the hunt is on!

So check six, make sure your takeoffs equal your landings and is you see me out and about please say hello!

Cheers,

James
